She takes over from Ruwan de Syoza, who resigned earlier in the year and currently serves as Group GC for Transaction Services Group.
In her new role at Halma, Adegoke will have global responsibility for legal and compliance affairs, as well as overseeing the company secretariat function. She will become a member of the executive board.
An experienced corporate lawyer, Adegoke’s CV includes stints at jet and rail-maker Bombardier and most recently BP, where among other roles she served as managing counsel for downstream commercial development. She is also an independent non-executive director of Melrose, another FTSE 100 constituent.
Of the new hire, CEO Andrew Williams said: “Funmi’s role at Halma will be critical in helping our companies grow and scale. She brings new capabilities, extensive commercial experience and a proven track record in legal and compliance affairs. She will be a valuable addition to the leadership team.”
